Mercury Rescue®

“Silver Fillings” or Mercury Amalgams are the materials used in the restoration of carious or damaged teeth. New evidence demonstrates that there is detectable and measurable amounts of mercury that is released from these fillings which were otherwise thought of as ‘inert’. MercuryRescue® is a unique process developed by Dr. Tan, which  helps patients by collaborating with a team of trained health professionals familiar with the toxic effects of mercury. The goal is to minimize or eliminate dangerous elemental and organic mercury exposure to the patient. The steps include safe removal and replacement of Mercury Fillings with long lasting and aesthetically pleasing 3D printed biocompatible dental restorations and ongoing supportive care including nutritional and detoxification regimens.

Based on the least conservative of the scenarios evaluated, it was estimated that some 67.2 million Americans would exceed the Hg dose associated with the reference exposure level (REL) of 0.3 μg/m(3) established by the US Environmental Protection Agency; and 122.3 million Americans would exceed the dose associated with the REL of 0.03 μg/m(3) established by the California Environmental Protection Agency. Exposure estimates are consistent with previous estimates presented by Health Canada in 1995, and amount to 0.2 to 0.4 μg/day per amalgam-filled tooth surface, or 0.5 to 1 μg/day/amalgam-filled tooth, depending on age and other factors. Tuna Fish sandwich vs Mercury fillings

In a given population, what is the largest source of mercury? The most common responses we hear are “fish”, “immunization shots”, “coal burning factories” and “silver fillings”. In this video, Dr. Mark Richardson PhD compares the mercury exposure from a Tuna Fish sandwich (methyl mercury source) vs mercury containing amalgam fillings (elemental mercury vapour source). So which do you think is a higher source of mercury? HINT: mercury vapour is 10x more toxic than methyl mercury.

Dr. Richardson could be referring to Dr. Hightower’s  claim:

What’s a safe dose (the reference dose) for mercury amalgam fillings?

Dr. Mark Richardson, PhD talks about silver amalgam fillings and their risk. He also talks about how many people have an unsafe level of mercury in their body due to the fillings, as well as more statistics, referencing studies and documents regarding the matter.

The short-term health effects of Mercury Exposure (CDC):

  • Cough, sore throat
  • Shortness of breath
  • Chest pain
  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
  • Increase in blood pressure or heart rate
  • A metallic taste in the mouth
  • Eye irritation
  • Headache

The LONG term health effects of Mercury Exposure (CDC):

  • Anxiety
  • Excessive shyness
  • Anorexia
  • Sleeping problems
  • Loss of appetite
  • Irritability
  • Fatigue
  • Forgetfulness
  • Tremors
  • Changes in vision
  • Changes in hearing

Symptomology of acute and chronic mercury exposure blurs. During dental removal of mercury, acute exposure from improper mercury removal is primarily inorganic mercury (mercury vapour) which upon entering the body becomes methylated (inorganic mercury). Please consult with a trained physician or a doctor of naturopathic medicine familiar with recognizing toxicity symptoms as most of the symptoms are nondescript, requiring a thorough review of medical history and test to confirm a diagnosis.
