Hi Bert,

Great question! kids start as early as 8 years old to line things up skeletally. Most kids start treatment when all their adult teeth are in; which is typically around 12 years old. There’s a ‘magic window of opportunity’ for braces treatment during which skeletal growth is at its peak – that’s different for boys and girls. Getting braces on right before the beginning of this growth spurt would often time be the best time.
